Cooker trouble shooting

Main Oven
If the main oven won’t turn on, check that the clock is not on automatic. This normally has a little ‘A’ symbol flashing on the clock
To set the clock, please go back to the cookers manual, or call for advice.
Loosing heat
If your cooker is loosing heat and struggling to get up to temperature, it could be that the door seals have perished and need replacing. It should be possible to check the cooke door seals by opening the door and performing a visual inspection.
If this is happening, you may find scorching of the surrounding cupboards
Cooker door agar
If your cooker door is not closing properly, it could be that the hinges have stretched. This can happen if items are placed on the inside of the door when open. If this is the case you'll need an engineer to replace the cooker door hinges.
Changing the bulb
Most ovens have a bulb inside the main oven and can sometimes need replacing. Turn off the power and use the cooker manual to check how to remove the cover when the oven is cold.
In most cases, replace by turning the bulb anti-clockwise and putting the new bulb in turning clockwise until tight
